Vincent Noel was a New Jewel Movement (NJM) member and loyal supporter of Grenada Prime Minister, Maurice Bishop.
During the Grenada Revolution, Noel served as President of Bank and General Workers Union (BGWU) and VP of Commercial and Industrial Workers Union (CIWU).
Following Maurice Bishop’s house arrest, Vince Noel led demonstrations demanding Bishop’s release. Noel was shot on the balcony outside of the Ops room at Fort Rupert on October 19, 1983 and died from his injuries.
