People’s Laws

A number of laws declared by the NJM in March 1979 that suspended Grenada's Constitution and established the legality for the NJM's non-elected government and administration.

Following the March 13, 1979 overthrow of Eric Gairy’s government in Grenada, the New Jewel Movement enacted a series of People’s Laws that suspected Grenada’s Constitution.
