Merle Hodge

A Trinidadian educator during the Grenada Revolution.

Merle Hodge is a Trinidadian who served as an educator of the Ministry of Education in Grenada during the Grenada Revolution.  She resigned on October 17, 1983 following the house arrest of Grenada Prime Minister Maurice Bishop.

Merle Hodge is a novelist and critic. Her 1970 novel Crick Crack, Monkey is a classic of West Indian literature.
