Sir Paul Scoon was the Governor-General of Grenada. [In Grenada the Queen is still the head of state. Her appointed representative – although strictly symbolic – is the Governor-General.]
On March 8, 1979, Scoon was knighted – given the title ‘Sir' by Queen Elizabeth II.
